Description
The Stag at Redhill is a beautiful 16th century Inn with character, charm and lots of history. It sits very proudly on the A46 just 5 minutes from the busy world famous town of Stratford Upon Avon and the sleepy town of Alcester, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Whether it’s a romantic night or two away or a longer break to go sightseeing, our newly refurbished rooms and fabulous restaurant with great fresh menu will delight.
Relax with a pre-meal drink in our sumptuous lounge area overlooking the stunning Warwickshire countryside, try a glass of superb cask-conditioned ale or choose from our extensive wine list, and really unwind.
We have snacks as well as a full menu plus a super Specials Board; absolutely everything is freshly prepared with as much local produce as possible -- and if there is still room, our home-made desserts are to die for. James, Chris, Mark, Carl and all the crew are in the kitchens from 7.30 am - 9pm to make the menus perfect whatever time you arrive.

| ABOUT US |
Pat, Steve and family extend a very warm welcome to our super Country Inn & Restaurant.
The Stag is a family run business that really does care; we always offer that personal touch to ensure you have a fabulous time; you only have to read our testimonial page to see what people think. We treat all our visitors as individuals and hope they all enjoy their visit enough to tell others.
The Stag at Redhill has a long and distinguished history; it started life as Stratford’s courtroom and jail, which is very evident when you walk around and see the original cell door and many of the original cell windows cast in iron.
Now The Stag is a traditional Inn, the original features have been preserved as best they could. We have a traditional bar and a full menu, with daily Specials Boards. The Carvery is available on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday lunch times.
The menu is just as welcoming. Whether it’s dinner for two or more, a relaxed Sunday roast or a business lunch, there’s something wholesome and delicious to suit. The excellent children’s menu will have younger guests licking their lips as well -- and there will be a whole host of special daily menus and themed evenings happening right through the week.
Of course, location counts too -- and The Stag’s couldn’t be better. Definitely a rural inn, it rests contentedly in the Warwickshire countryside that has been its home for hundreds of years. Yet it couldn’t be easier to find as it sits proudly on the A46 between busy Stratford and sleepy Alcester, hunting this particular stag will be a doddle. Even better, there’s plenty of parking – as well as ten comfortable rooms that guarantee a relaxed stay.
If you are visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, the NEC, NIA or even shows like The Royal Show, why not chill out at The Stag at Redhill.

James and his team in the kitchens work tirelessly to bring you a menu to satisfy all tastes; whether you are in more of a hurry and choose from out light bites and snack menu, or whether you are doing lunch or have all evening to relax and enjoy the ever changing specials board, rest assured that EVERYTHING presented is cooked freshly from fine fresh produce.
James sources as much as possible from local suppliers and the fish is delivered fresh six days a week (they don’t fish on Sundays!) direct from the fish docks at Brixham.
Sunday’s and Bank Holiday Monday's from midday until about 4.30 we serve our famous carvery. If you do not want a roast dinner our normal menus and special board are also available.
Desserts are also made, prepared, and cooked freshly in our kitchens, always a delight and changing several times a week. Mmmmm.
We pride ourselves on our menu, none more so than our ever changing Specials. As with all our food, everything is prepared fresh by James and his team using only the very best local (or Brixham for fish) suppliers. Specials will change at least weekly, with some dishes changing almost daily.
