Malaysian cuisine is essentially a fusion of Thai, Tamil Indian and Mandarin Chinese with ethnic Malay variations.

The two Malaysian Restaurants in Warwickshire - Georgetown in Stratford-upon-Avon & Raffles in Kenilworth - are part of the same group of restaurants and offer a dining experience in the style of colonial Singapore at the turn of the 20th century. This, of course, means starting with a legendary Singapore Sling which was invented at the Raffles Hotel (after which one of the restaurants is named). The menus offer a different choice of the cuisines that have influenced Malay food, including: Ethnic Malay with dishes such as Ikan Goreng, Udang Bakar Kering and Rendang Daging; Malaysian Chinese with dishes such as Mandarin Tim Sum, Laksa Lemak and Hainanese Nasi Ayam; Malaysian Indian with dishes such as Madras Koli, Mysore Aadu (imagine how many ribald comments this dish causes) and Pandri Perratal; and a separate Vegetarian menu with dishes such as Selangor Curry Puff, Tropical Vegetable Tempura and Hokkien Kway Teow.
