Nuneaton is probably most famous as the birthplace of the Victorian novelist George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans). As a interesting adjunct to an article on Restaurants in Nuneaton, the house in which she spent her first 21 years, Griff House, is now a Beefeater restaurant. Gurkha food is Nepalese and situated, as it is, between India and China the food is influenced by the cuisines of both these countries. A normal Nepali meal comprises of Bhat (Rice), Dal (Lentil), Tarkari (Vegetable) and Achar (Pickles) which are flavoured by a balanced blending of fresh herbs, spices and other condiments and accompanied by various side dishes. If you are looking for an authentic and unusual gastronomic experience, this is certainly a restaurant to try.
