Restaurants in Wishaw
As a relatively small village, Wishaw is included in its own right solely because of the Belfry, and possibly because of unconfirmed sightings of celebrities like footballer Luke Moore(?), TV superstar Jeremy Beadle and ... well that's it really.
The De Vere Belfry is one of the world's top golfing resorts and for many years was the European home of the Ryder Cup. As well as its 324 bedrooms, 3 golf courses, extensive spa and leisure facilities and conference centre, it also has a choice of restaurants - all of which are open to the public. In a superb location overlooking the famous Brabazon golf course is the award-winning Atrium French Restaurant; Sam's Sports Bar and Grill is a laid back option for residents and non-residents alike, with a menu offering a wide variety of satisfying options and a comprehensive drink selection; and The Belfry Bar is the place to indulge in coffee, sandwiches and light snacks during the day and a fun Spanish tapas menu in the evening.
So, if you fancy a change from the Belfry where do you go? The choice seems to be The Cock Inn. But that is probably not a bad choice as it is owned and operated by the same group that runs The Saxon Mill at Warwick, as well as The Barnt Green Inn at Barnt Green and The Lyttelton Arms at Hagley. As with The Saxon Mill you will find a regenerated building with new interior, featuring open kitchens, stone fired ovens and log burning fires, beautifully landscaped decking for alfresco dining, and unrivalled views over stunning countryside, close to the world famous Belfry Golf Course.
The choice of Restaurants in Wishaw may be small but it is pretty good.
