Kenilworth is a small historic town in the heart of Warwickshire and contains the ruins of England’s most important lake fortress, the remains of a medieval monastery, interesting architecture, restaurants, an interesting selection of small local shops, and some great places to stay. Kenilworth Castle was established by Geoffrey de Clinton following the Norman Conquest, in about 1122, not long after Warwick Castle.
